Reviewing a candidate's profile

Learn how to efficiently review candidate profiles, navigate search results, filter reviewed candidates, and save the best matches to your shortlists.

1. Sort order

Use the dropdown in the top right of the results to change how candidates are ranked.

See the full ranking guide → (Linkear a search engine)

2. Opening and navigatin a profile

Click on any candidate card to open their full profile in a side panel.

The full profile shows:

  1. Complete work history — every role, company, duration, and a description of responsibilities.
  2. Education — degree, institution, and field of study.
  3. Skills — as tagged on their profile.
  4. Profile link — direct access to their LinkedIn profile for additional context.

 ✨Navigate faster with arrow keys
Use the ( ‹ › ) arrows in the top right of the profile view to move to the next or previous candidate without closing the panel and going back to the list. This makes it much faster to review candidates sequentially.

3. Left panel - Search filter results

Use the left panel to narrow down what you see without running a new search:

👁️ By seen / unseen status

  • Show all — displays every candidate in your results.

  • Never seen — shows only profiles you haven't opened yet. Use this to avoid reviewing the same candidates twice.

  • Not seen in the last [week] — useful when revisiting a search after a few days.

  • Seen anytime / Seen in the last [week] — surfaces profiles you've already reviewed.

⭐By seen / unseen status

  • Show all — every candidate regardless of shortlist status.

  • Not shortlisted — shows candidates you haven't saved yet. Great for a focused review session.

  • Shortlisted (in my shortlists) — shows candidates already saved to one of your shortlists.

✨Combine both filters for maximum efficiency
Set Never seen + Not shortlisted to focus only on fresh profiles you haven't evaluated yet. This is especially useful when working through a large result set across multiple sessions.

4. Adding a candidate to your shortlist manually

When you've found a strong candidate, click "Save to list" at the bottom of their profile.

  1. A panel appears with your existing shortlists — select one or click "+ Create new shortlist".

Click Save. The candidate is added instantly.

You can add the same candidate to multiple shortlists — useful if they fit more than one open role.4. Adding a candidate to your shortlist manually

5. Quick identification

If a candidate already belongs to one of your lists, you'll see the list tag directly in the search results. This helps you quickly recognize previously saved candidates and the list they're part of.
