Safe activity limits

Nova allows you to configure daily limits for:

• LinkedIn messages

Account reputation protection

Nova can automatically withdraw connection requests that have remained pending for too long.

Keeping your pending invitations under control helps maintain a healthy LinkedIn account reputation.

Browser extension connection

Nova recommends connecting your LinkedIn account using the browser extension.

Instead of asking for your LinkedIn credentials, the extension securely reuses your existing LinkedIn session.

This avoids creating new or suspicious logins and is especially recommended for LinkedIn Recruiter Lite and Sales Navigator users.

Connect LinkedIn using the browser extension

The browser extension is the recommended way to connect your LinkedIn account.

It requires no passwords, connects automatically, and helps keep your LinkedIn session active so your Outreach sequences can continue running.

1. Open Connections

In Nova Recruiter, go to:

Settings → Connections

Locate the LinkedIn section and click Connect.

2. Select your LinkedIn license (if applicable)

If you use LinkedIn Recruiter or Sales Navigator to send InMails, enable:

"I plan to send InMails using a LinkedIn Recruiter or Sales Navigator license."

Nova will prompt you to install the browser extension before completing the connection.

⚠️ Why this matters

This option tells Nova to use a safer connection method that helps prevent LinkedIn from flagging your account for shared credentials.

3. Install the browser extension

Click the download link provided in the dialog.

This will open the Chrome Web Store.

Click:

• Add to Chrome
• Add extension

4. Confirm the connection

Once installed, the extension opens automatically.

You should see:

• ✅ Nova Recruiter — Connected
• ✅ LinkedIn — Connected

The required cookie will be detected automatically and the status will change to green.

What does the browser extension access?

The extension only accesses the information required to maintain your LinkedIn connection.

It:

• ✓ Reads your LinkedIn li_at and li_a cookies to keep your connection active.
• ✓ Sends those cookies only to your own Nova account over HTTPS.
• ✓ Reuses your existing Nova Recruiter and LinkedIn sessions.

The extension does not:

• ✗ Read or store your LinkedIn password.
• ✗ Share your information with third parties.

Using the browser extension is the safest way to connect LinkedIn to Nova Recruiter because it:
