Connect your communication channels
Connecting your accounts only takes a few minutes and is required before sending your first outreach sequence.
Before you can launch an Outreach sequence, you'll need to connect the communication channels Nova will use to contact candidates on your behalf.
⚠️ Required before launching outreach
Without at least one connected communication channel, Nova won't be able to send messages to candidates.
What can you connect?
Nova currently supports three communication channels.
Connect your Gmail or Microsoft Outlook account to send personalized outreach emails directly from your own email address.
Candidates can reply directly to your inbox, keeping conversations natural and personal.
💼 LinkedIn (Messages & Inmail)
Connect your LinkedIn account to automate:
- Connection requests
- Direct messages
- Follow-up messages
Nova respects your configured activity limits and sending schedule to help keep your LinkedIn activity safe.
🌐 Nova
Enable the Nova channel to contact candidates who are members of the Nova network.
How to connect your channels
Go to Settings → Connections.
From there:
- Enable the communication channel you'd like to use.
- Complete the authentication process.
- Wait until the channel displays Connected.
- Repeat for any additional channels you'd like to use.
Once connected, your channels will automatically become available when creating an Outreach sequence.
💡 Using Microsoft 365 or Outlook?
Gmail accounts usually connect without any additional steps.
If you're connecting a Microsoft work account, your organization may require administrator approval before third-party applications can access your mailbox. If the connection is blocked, contact your IT administrator and ask them to approve Nova's email integration.
Your data stays private
Nova uses secure OAuth authentication to connect your communication accounts.
This means:
- Your passwords are never shared with Nova.
- Nova never stores your LinkedIn credentials.
- Nova does not read or store your inbox or private conversations.
- The permissions granted are only used to send outreach messages on your behalf and synchronize your outreach activity.
🔒 Privacy first
Your connected accounts remain under your control at all times. You can disconnect them whenever you want from Settings → Connections.
